Did anyone watch the Mechanical Marvels: Sherman Tank on the History Channel, this past week. What a wonderfully done documentary! I learned more about the Sherman than I could in hours of reading time. It was funny (not to the Tankers I’m sure) to see the ways the tankers used wood, sandbags etc. as protective “armor” against the far superior German Tanks. What a brave bunch of warriors those Sherman Tankers were. Anyway just wanted to add my two cents…[:D]
I’ve heard nothing but good reviews on this program, unfortunately being in Canada we have a different History Channel than in the U.S. Hopefully ours will soon air this program, if not I’ll have to hunt for the video.
