Hello chaps

I’ve been looking at these forums for a long while now, and I now need some advice.

I want to make a Heinz Bar’s Me109E-3 (1/48), what is the better kit Tamiya or Hasegawa?

I can’t speak to the Tamiya kit (yet) but the Hasegawa is a good build. The Hasegawa may be a bit more complex than the Tamiya kit (PE headrest), but still an easy build. (edit)

They are both real nice kits, but personally I give the nod to Hasegawa. The Tamiya is a little better detailed, but the contour of the nose just never looked right to my eye. Both can benefit from some AM help in the pit, although Tamiya is better OOB.

Not sure about 1/48 but I’m working on his “White 13” in 1/72. Good luck.

Here is my E-3 that R. Heydrich is said to have flown in '41……I believe it is the Hasegawa kit…
