Maybe I’ve missed reading this from you in the past, but I’d like to ask about gloss before a wash? I guess it makes sense as it would allow the paint to flow instead of grabbing, yes?!

That’s just unbelievable! I can’t imagine having the patience to put that much detail into a set . . . . Can’t wait to see more pics!

Mojo - I paint with enamels, and also use them for a wash. The Future protects the underlying paint. I mix the flat base color with flat black until I reach a shade that matches the shadows I see on the model under a light. The flat wash really shows up on the glossy surface, enabling me to remove every bit that I don’t want. This can be difficult to see if you use a gloss wash on a gloss surface.
jblittle - that’s all it takes is patience. It’s a good feeling when you’ve accomplished something that’s a little more rewarding than assembling a fall together kit that has no challenges.
