ok here’s my bird:

This is my first larger scale airplane, so if I can do it, anyone can… it went together very nicely. I can honestly say I hate decaling an ac. lots and little. [>:(]

i’m currently doing a FW 190 D-9 from JV44 which covered your birds as they took off and landed (the one with the awesome stripey paint job on the underside!![;)]), so maybe i should add myself to this group build?![:p]
i just gotta have more badges on my sig!![(-D]

nick
Nick, is that the Revell 1/48?
If so I’m working on the same kit.
Managed to get a coat of future on my 262 this weekend.
Will then leave it to harden off for a few days, before I start work on the decals.
Karl
it’s tamiya’s normal D9 with some tally ho decals…maybe you can help me with the top side colours? i’m having some trouble with my greens!!

how did you do the underside stripes by the way? i masked mine…
i was only kidding about wearing you guys’ badge by the way!![:p]
Nick, try this link:
Under ‘Pilot/Missions’ there are some good colour plates of the JV44’s aircraft.
I’ll dig out the Revell paint guide when I get home and post the colours listed there.
I’m only part way through the build so far, and hating every minute of it, as the kit is flimsy as hell.
Karl
thanks KJ200…
shall we continue this on the thread i started about the clour scheme…seems a bit rude to ramble on in this group build!!

PROGRESS UPDATE
Decals are now on, a combination of Italeri decals that came with the kit and the Eagle Cal sheet that I bought.
Next step will be a further coat of Future to seal everything, before applying a wash, and perhaps a little dry brushing here and there.
I then just need to assemble the canopy and add brake lines to the under carriage, and the model is almost complete.
Then I just need to borrow a digi cam so that I can post pictures.
Karl
I would have loved to joined this GB but it’s a case of too many GB’s and not enough time.
I wouldn’t woryy I haven’t finished mine yet!!!
It was only supposed to end in April.
Still almost there.
Just the canopy and details to add now!!!
