Hi!
I picked up the revell Me-109 kit for $10 at my local hobbyshop. After assembling it, I decided to paint it as a 109 that has just arrived in North Africa, fresh off the assembly line. However, I don’t know what types of markings to give it. I want to show the bird before it recieves its unit markings. I know I should apply the national insignia’s, but would I put anything else?
I’d appreciate any information anyone can give me.
Thanks.
I’m pretty sure all of the stencils & wing walk lines would have been factory applied. Not so sure about the white ID bands, they may have been field applied.
Regards, Rick
Somebody told me that German fresh of the assembly line aircraft use to have a code, it is made of four numbers or something like that, two at both sides of the balkankreuze in the fuselage sides, and in the under sides of the wings: in the right wing the first two numbers, one at each side of the cross, and in the left wing the second two numbers, one at each side of the cross… I don’t know if it is true, but I’ve seen a lot of pictures of aircraft with these markings… specially bombers
Zeroenna is right about the code. I have a few color profiles I’ll post later today.

Yeah… Im talking about this:
These are Bf-109G-1, in a magazine I have (El mundo de la Aviación #4), says that they are fresh of the assembly line
Thanks so much guys! I really appreciate it, especially the picture. I have some decals in my spares box that will do the job.
Thanks again.
