MAUS/ E-100 WHERE TO BUY

does anyone know of a repspectable site to buy a DML 1/35 Maus or E-100 super heavy tank? thanks for any suggestions

You can try squadron.com.

GeatModels lists a Dragon E-100, 1/35th , for $25.45. The kit status is ‘re-issue’. Not entirely what that means?

you’re not in the SF area, are you? because if you are, you can go to talbot’s toyland in san mateo and get it off the shelf.

www.luckymodel.com $20.99 E-100
www.greatmodels.com $25.45 E-100/Maus
www.internethobbies.com $23.52 E-100
www.internethobbies.com $23.50 Maus sold out/out of production

I can’t think of any others but I’m sure someone else can give you some sites.

Depot Hobbies in Cleveland has three of 'em. DML 6007 Maus, internet price of $25.46.

Build all three of them and paint their vision blocks black. Drei blind Mäuse.

Reissue just means it was out of production and they remade a limited run on them.

I also saw a few of them on ebay.

Hi! I just checked the Mission Models webpage and they are selling both kits for $26.95.

I order from them alot via phone and they are good guys to talk to. Get things out to you in the mail pretty quick too.

Good Luck

eBay is always a great place to buy older models.
Some people have ill hearted feelings torward eBay, but its really the individual people who sell on there and not eBay itself. There are those who to avoid and there are those who are great sellers.
eBay is a great place to find some of those OOP models.
Just dont buy anything started already.

[#ditto] Yeah that might just be the best place, thats where I was able to get mine[:D]

Be careful buying on eBay. There are some people who are out of the US and claim to be in, I bought an item from someone in LA and the box was shipped from Mayalasia with no packing just stuffed in another box. They would not answer e-mails, only good thing was that I was using it for a conversion and was going to junk the damaged parts anyway.

Always research the sellers rating or history and see what people have to say. Also make sure you know how much the shipping is going to cost. AND what you can buy an item for from a online dealer for. I almost bought sometime for a lot more than an internet store was selling it for, luckily I was out bid before it was final.

Also, don’t kick yourself when you buy something from eBay that was out of production for a long time and getting very scarce and then it gets re-released for $30. It like buying an old book at a vintage book store and then finding it at a garage sale for $.50

Yup, I agree.
You really have to check the “feedback” on the users that you buy from. Its a great feature that works well. I usually avoid sellers from Asia (Hong Kong, Tawan) as I heard a lot of dissatisfaction somes out of it and the shipping costs are high.
