Matilda Mk II - Tamiya 1/35

Hi.

Here is a few pictures of my last work-in-progress. The (very) old Matilda Mk II from Tamiya.

Is still lacks some oils and pigments to give it a more weathered look…

Cheers

That looks really good. The masked cammo came out swell. That scheme always scared me off. Hard to believe that the kit is some 30 plus years old. Thanks for sharing.

Great job on the Camo! Talk about a hard edge.

That’s a nice build of an old kit.[tup][tup]. Even as is, it looks fine. With some additional dirt and weathering, it will no doubt look outstanding.

I really like your camo paint job. I have two of these old kits waiting to be built in the back of my kit closet. I’m going to have to shamelessly copy your paint scheme.

Nice to see what someone can do with one of these older kits! What did you use for the tarp? It does not look like the kit supplied part. Also how much of this is out of the box and how much aftermarket or scratchbuilding did you use?

VERY nice build.

WOW! Gorgeous! Does she have a sister?[(-D]

Your masking is crisp and perfectly done, and the paint is really beautiful!

Just goes to show that it aint so much the kit, it’s the way you DO the kit–this easily stacks up to any of the hyper-accurate and superdetailed kits of today…

Can’t wait to see it completely weathered…!

Looks nice! [:)]

How did you paint the rear deck area, did you mask all that or brush paint?
