i have an idea to hae my interior match my car paint job. All white with black stripes.Well, I’ve run into a problem that has an easy answer, but, I can’t figure it out. how do I tape seat that are ribbed? Won’t the paint run into the crack that the tape can’t seal? Is there an easy way to do this? See picture for seats and idea.

PS: Don’t make fun of my awesome drawing! [:D]
Silly putty or a use a flat headed toothpick on the tape and work it into the ribs.
I’m sure others will have much more inventive ideas than I…
Yes, paint will run under the tape unless it is well sealed as der_jackal mentioned. Silly Putty might work, but it tends to flow and unless you spray quick your masking might change over time.
You might try some of the liquid masking fluid. Some people have reported good luck wiith it, I haven’t had much of that.
If it were me, I’d use Tamiya masking tape (because it is so thin) and work it down into the creases very well. If the paint bleeds a little, use the first color to touch things up.
Ok, I will try tape first, then silly putty. Thanks guys.
Tape would be the best idea, and to minimise bleed, use a heap of mist coats, and spray from a fair distance away.
