Need info on Marine Force Recon ‘Eagle Team’ in and around Vietnam between 1962-1965/8. Have an aquaintence who says he was in this extremely clandestine unit conducting patrols and sweeps throughuot Vietnam at that time, and is now writing a book based on his experiences there.
He would like me to build a model for him, of the CH-46D/E SeaKnight that was utilized by his unit for major airlift troop movements, cargo and wounded transfer.
Need info on aircraft markings: sqd designator (AHT?); A/C serial # (108527-A?); pilot/co-pilot (Capts. Richard Gilliam,James Crawford?); Camoflage/ a/c overall paint color ( SEA scheme?), he “seems” to remember these as in ( ).
