finally i get a better pic and wish to share my little victory with the pics and in second place to show how is the progress of the marder II of the 10 panzergrenadier division before to be eliminated on 1944 used as model of practices
this is one of the near 50 models actually in progress
no upgrades only the interior of the ammo boxes in scratch, will have tracks from modelkasten when finish
is not finished yet, but i like too much the oils because can be changed or modified at any time and the final result is allways great.
just is painted in acrylics ( tamiya ) and all the finishing is with oils white titanium, ivory black and raw umber, washes of manganese oxide in water-alcohol- and a drop of armor all mix.
i like this combination because you can use ols over the acrylics as soon as the acrylic paint is dry ( good for a mad groups ) without damage the painted areas.
Really nice work! I agree with you on the use of artists oils in doing some of the shading, weathering, I’m still learning how to apply this technique myself, but Em very encouraged by the results. Thanks for sharing with us. Semper Fi, Mike
The faded camo is very well done. The rust holes/stains look just too much like a regular uniform pattern to me. Some of them would look better if they were different shapes or sizes. would make it more random. Just my opinion. Still looks outstanding.
i need to improve the chipping, this was the second test of applying chipping to a model and as allways just with oils
thank you for yours comments i consider and appreciate yours comments and the critic in positive way to improve.
I beam you´re right in the aspect of the holes, will make changes in that way
thank you
Very nice work. I have not tried oils myself yet, but did buy a few colours. I’ve heard so many positive things about oil washes and filters, I’m just dying to try it out myself.
right, the next tinme i post more pics of this will be with the interior finished because the rack for the radio is not there is in my workbench and the interior needs more work
