Due to reason most of you may or may not be aware, Manstein cannot post these photos and through email correspondence has asked if I would mind to do it for him. Here they are, you be the judge…

Beutiful Mirage…
BTW, what happened to Manstein?
He was banned for being what some would consider “overcritical” on his criticism. Perhaps he will come back though. He just wanted to share some of his work because he had gotten banned before he had the opportunity to post any of his work.
I think I would be honored to be critcised by the person who built that model! Can’t see a single nit to pick.
well. that is a nicely done model. I just think manstein’s comments were a tad abrasive, but a lot fo what he said was essentially accurate. He does some good work clearly.
Thats a decent looking bird. I always liked the colorful Israeli camo.
I guess it’s not so much what you say, but how you say it…
He sure does fine work, though.
That’s the point. He was a little too slap-across-the-face, whether it was in jest or in kind. He made some good constructive posts, but then turned around and was real snippy. He’s probably gotten a huge laugh over the 30 day ban.
On his work, yes it’s a very well made model. Now I’d love to see some of his armor.
Hehe, he rated his own build a 5-star. Gotta love the arrogance.
Good work or not, he trolled his way around looking for trouble, and found some. I’m tired of guys like him, and hope he decides to stay away. This forum has been rocked too much in the past few months. I hope it settles down soon and gets back some of the fraternity it used to have.
comments welcomed…
Absolutely immaculate and well executed. A treat for the eye, congratulations on a fine study of a great fighter. Can we get some belly shots? Can you comment on build details, paint techniques etc? I would be most interested on how you did the piping around the canopy frame, is that drafting tape or paint?
regards,
Steve
Stunningly beautiful work on the Mirage. The photography is also excellent.
I have found that the old axiom, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”, to be pretty much relevent on modeling forums. Some people can take negative, constructive criticism and some cannot. Also, when some people offer what they consider constructive criticism, it comes across as too harsh and abrasive. Just my opinion.

thanks…I can dish it out AND take it…LOL
…what I have always liked about the Mirage is that it has kicked a lot of butt in the air…and it is a beautiful looking a/c…
That does look nice. I really like some of the camo schemes that come out of the Middle East. And that’s one of them. Well done.
VERY NICE
thanks, I’ll try to take some more pics of the bottom, exhaust, etc…and outline some techniques…the Mirage is one nice looking a/c…and the Eduard kit is a real nice rendition, probabaly best offering of the subject (Heller has been the only real game in town for too long on this a/c)…only needed to replace the seat (and that wasn’t really necessary)…
Really beautiful work. I have a couple of IIIC in the stash and those pics made me want to drop everything else. Clearly MR can “walk the walk” as well as “talk the talk” . I know I could learn from a guy so obviously talented, and I hope he can keep things on the right side of the road from now on and keep posting his work.
thanks…I hope I can keep my comments between the lines as well, although sometimes I am tempted…actually ww2 german prop a/c are my fortee’ and I hope to get some pics posted soon of my collection…I have approx 24 109’s of all marks and half as many FW’s…etc, etc…
Manstein: So what’s next in your flightline/armor depot? I look forward to seeing some of your other work.
I hope to post some dio’s, a/c, vignettes, figures and more armor this weekend…I have some things that I think you guys will get a real kick out of…
