Howdy, folks![:)]
Some of ya’ll may remember me talking about a Tiger contest being held last October at my LHS (Mammut), for which I was building the Tiger II on display at Bovington (sadly, STILL not finished!).
The fellas finally got a site together to display the entries. It’s all in Japanese, but I reckon the pix pretty much speak for themselves.
Very good looking. Especially enjoyed seeing that Tiger I climbing up onto the railroad tracks and the one cover in snow. The Kelly’s Heroes Tiger was fun to see and the Volmeteer (ouch! spelling?!?) Tiger was also easily recognizable.
GREAT pics!! thanks for sharing with us, J-Hulk[:)]
i agree with Kumakichi about the 2 best looking ones: the railroad one and the one covered in snow were awesome!![8D]
which ones won? also, that “yellow #77” with the tiger-style stripes…is that a real scheme??
regards,
nick
theres some great Tigers there (There all great)
i like the Train track one and the Black barreled kintiger above it, i cant put them all down there all great
Love the ‘Kelly’s Heroes ex-T34’ - nice comical touch to the theme.
The flooded street Tiger II is an inventive dio idea, and I liked the one with the early Tiger climbing up the railway line. The trees on the Porsche turreted Tiger dio were also nicely done.
I agree with all opinions on these great models.
There was a really trashed one in there i was a bit partial to also.
(I need to go to over-weatherers anonymous.)
In fact I have a bit of Tiger-envy. My collection is Tigerless.
If I can build one this year I am definitely going to try and show it’s suspension in action a la the railway Tiger.
That Tiger #77 was one done just for fun as a tribute to the local baseball favorites, the Hanshin Tigers, who won the division this year and almost won the Japan Series. #77 is the coach, Hoshino-san. Most of us are Tigers fans here! (the tank and the team)
I bet the fellas would love Mike’s beautifully tigered Tiger!
Those are really good Brian! Pass our applause on to the group when you see them again. I really like the one climbing up on to the railroad bed too. Thanks for the link!
them are some grat looking tigers. would hate to make any of them mad. i really liked the two were one was covered with snow and the one were it was crossing the railroad tracks.
