I just came up with an idea of making rocket launchers for my P-47D. The kit does not include the rocket launchers but i think we can use some hard tough straws to make them and coat them with cement and paint. What do you guys think? do you have any better ideas?
What about rounded styrene stock or even brass or aluminum tubing? Just a thought. And [#welcome] to the forums aussiep47D.
Mate,
I’ve got the 1/48 scale Hasegawa P-51D Mustang as yet unbuilt, and it has the 3 tube rocket launchers - I won’t be using them on the model when I build it - you can have them if you like.
Just email me at the link below the picture of the MGB GT and we’ll arrange for you to get them. No worries, mate.
Welcome to the forums mate,
I also have a set from the Tamiya P-47D kit that I am currently building and a set from an Academy kit on the to build pile. I’ll probably keep the set from the Tamiya kit, but if you want the Academy set something can probably be arranged.
You guys are great that’s why I really enjoy this site…
Hey anyone have a few thousand $ they’re not needing?
Thought I’d try…[:D][:D][:D]
ok thanks guys but how are you gonna send me your rocket launchers? :-S
Mate, just email me with your address and I’ll send them airmail. The postage can’t be more than a buck - and I don’t think my kids will go without shoes if I spring for the postage…
I’ve got the set from the Monogram kit if yer interested.
BTW, Welcome to the forums. Good to see another AC modeler.
Judging by your name (aussieP47D) I am guessing you live in Australia. If this is right it shouldn’t be any problem to mail them to you. Just email your adress to me and I’ll stick them in the post.
