Major Horst Carganicos Bf 109G-6 in 1:32 scale (Pics)

Here is the Hasegawa 1:32 scale Bf109G-6 I recently finished. The kit has been painted using Gunze and Tamiya authentic acrylic colours. Subtle weathering has been achieved using pre and post shading as well as fading of the paint. Additional weathering has been achieved with inks and pastels. The additions I made to the kit were adding Eduard’s pre-painted seatbelts, fuse wire to cockpit floor, antennae wire made from invisible thread with insulators made from Micro-scale Krystal Clear, FuG 25a antennae made from stretched sprue, True Details weighted resin wheels and canopy details made from photo etched parts and clear sprue. The painting process was a combination of pre-shading and post-shading For anyone who does not know the story behind what happened to Major Carganico, was that he was shot down twice behind enemy lines and was able to evade capture and walk back. Hence the shoes Mickey has on a string with the two dates 22-23.7 and 12-12.8: 1942.
