I used micro scale micro mask on my Me 410 canopy. I didn’t put it on thick enough. Long story short, I now need to remove paint from the canopy. Can anyone tell me how to remove Tamiya acrylic paint from clear parts?
Thanks,
J

windex and q-tip. try it on some spare plastic to make sure it’s not going to make it misty or anything.
yea, its acrylic…so something with amonia(like windex) can be used. But like said…test it on spare clear plastic so you dont really ruin your canopy. If you have future on the canopy the amonia will take that off as well.
Future floor polish is an excellent acrylic paint stripper. You could let it soak in Future overnight and you’ll be starting with a virgin canopy. One caution though (when remasking) is that some liquid masks contain ammonia which Future does not like.
I have never tried it on a clear sprue but regular old dot 3 brake fluid is great for softening paint. It is also great for cleaning up airbrush parts. Paint a clear sprue or left over unused canopy before trying out on yours first like I said I have yey to try it on a clear part. Good luck
