Far out, Swanny.
Are you gonna do a kit review on it?
Lovely, Swanny. I haven’t built a chopper since I tried to build the father of that H-34 of yours which this same Revell put out in bright orange plastic in the 60s. I later saw it reviewed in a Classic Kits column, and there, 30 years later, I found out it wasn’t my childish modeling skills that prevented the fuselage halves from going together. That big Wasp engine in it was too big for the model and nobody could make it fit. Now what was the kit? For yours and all of our sakes, I am glad the state of the art has progressed. Now I see this, I wanna make one myself. Best of luck with it.
This and three other assorted kits are all on the review table right now - watch for it to show up in the July updates. I have several helos in the stash and a few completed on the shelves - I just might have to create a Helo tab on my site. Last fall I was out on Lake Erie on the Jet Ferry when one of these totally restored blew by at about 300 feet going flat out for Detroit - it was very cool. Many folks have tried to tell me it was an S-55 but I know the difference between a 55 and a 58.
Very cool, Matt! What are the details like? You going nuts on the AM parts again? [:D]
man, my mig isnt even here yet
Gotta love the mailman, I’m waiting for a delivery myself… it’s just like christmas.
Its like x-mas in June Swanny…until you look at the invoice and remember how much you spent.[8D]
I just got my 1/72 scale copies of Academy’s P-38 and Special Hobby’s P-59A/B. Both are very nice kits that I suspect I’ll build this year.

Looks like an interesting subject to watch when you start reviewing it.
We’ve had a few of those old piston poppers come through our airport over the past year. They are using them in the oilfields for rigging operations. I had to hotfuel a few lately, boy is that exciting having that big blade wopping away a few feet from the top of my fuel truck.
I can’t wait to see a chopper by you Swanny.

What markings are you going to put on it? If I ever get around to building mine, I want to put Marine markings from Nam.
That’s kind of the same direction I was going. Build will not happen for a while - I know some guys in the aftermarket business (who must remain annon.) and are doing masters for a resin detail package for this model. I am at the top of the list for the set once it’s cast.

Hey Swanny,
How did you get Karl Malone to deliver that kit to you? He never once brought me one in the whole time I have lived in Utah.[(-D]
The mailman was good to me too - brought me the Revell of Germany 1/72 scale
S-100 Schnellboote!

Based on the replies I got on a different post about the Revell-Monogram B-26 and the P-40’s I ordered, the mailman wasn’t so nice to me. And I’m the mailman!! I live on my own rural route.

That B-26 can be more like a mail bomb.
