The model is based on the model were added Tamiya bags machine gun changed the frame of the tower added to the rope, removed the door fender has been added to the antenna.
Very nice and clean build.
The only thing lacking which I think will be the double/multi tone color to bring out the tank.
first of all, great photo work! How well did this kit go together? I have this kit in my stash, and must confess that I’ve never looked it over. Also how does it stack up to the one from AFV?

Thanks for posting your photos. Nice work! One thing you might want to change is your front lights. The inner one on the left side is a siren, not a third head light.

Squeakie: AFV Club’s M5 series are pretty state of the art whereas the Tamiya M5A1 was designed in the early 70s. Regardless, as you can see, they can still be built up to be attractive models.
Just shows that older kits can still build up into very nice models. Well done.

somewhere in the ever growing stack of kits I have the Tamiya M5 kit as well as the Verlinden kit to make it into one of the British turretless tanks they used in Europe. I have an AFV M3, but it’s still in the shrink wrap. Been kinda wanting to latch onto another M5 lately, and looks you you answered my needs. Now which one of the two AFV kits do I want is the question!
