M51 Sherman 1/72nd Scale

This is a conversion using a Hasagawa M4E8 and an ESCI M4A1 kit. Still got a little ways to go:

Hiya air,
The pix are a lil to small but from what I can see, she looks to be a good little kit. So by using two different mfgs, how are they when it comes to fitting??
What batl are you going to put the Sherman in??
Flaps up, Mike

You must have a crew of very very small people working on that fabrication?
Outstanding kitbash. Keep posting progress pictures please.

had to take out the “thumb” to view the pictures.

Ok I took the “thumb” out, I was trying to add the pics to the text, but have a few other things to learn still. As to the battle(?) I was going for 1973 era. As for the crew well it’s 3x power mag lenses. And the fit was ok for the top and bottom but not the ends. Thanks for the comments.

Great conversion you have going there!
That’s my favorite version of the Sherman.
One observation: the barrel may be just a leeeeetle too long!

I know the main gun on the M51 is quite long, but looking at ref pix, I think you need to shorten that tube a tad.
I’m no rivet counter, but even the ol’ eyeballs are telling me something’s not quite right there!
Keep us posted with your fine work!

Very nice job Air5, congrats…
