M4A3-E8 "Mothers Finest"

Guys,

Here’s a couple of pics from a model which I finished some years ago. It’s Dragons M4A3-E8 with Friul tracks, Armorscal barrel, some leftover PE and stowage. Painted with Gunze acrylics and weathered with oils and pigments…

SHOOT!!

Very well done!

Good JobVery nice job here but the huge size of the pictures (4,272 x 2,848) make downloading and viewing very slow/difficult even with 10mgb broadband.

(2:37 pm edit: for some reason - 5+hours later they come up much faster… must be the traffic)

Minor things I see are the molding seam on the main gun support, lack of any visible means of securing that towing cable on the forward half of the hull and the red tail light being on the right side instead of the left side.

Again, some very good work and a great job on the figure.

[Y][Y] There can never be too many Shermans here [:)] Beautifully done!

Nice finish. I like the figures too.

Well done !

Thanks a lot for the nice comments guys!

@Disastermaster: thanks for the heads-up, I’ve missed the seam on the gun travel lock, and those friggin rear lights always puzzled me, thanks for pointing this out…

Grtz, John.

Looks very well done. I like the finish, and your figures…excellent!

Nate

Excellent job. Both the sherman and the figure look great.[t$t]

Wow! Amazing work!!!

Great job on my favorite Sheman version. Nice job on the tank and the storage and figures look sharp too.

I really like the added on armor on the transmission cover and frontal plate. I think the 3rd Army did a lot of this. The stowage is extramely well done. I love the yellow fuel can mixed in there and what looks like a stretcher.

Where did you get these figures? The commander figure is really cool with the coveralls on.

Fantastic job…I really like the detail you captured on the figure. Thanks for posting pictures of this one…now where did I put that Sherman kit?

Thanks again for the nice words guys…

@ Iraqiwildman: The commander is aAlpine figure, came with two different heads, so I used the second head on the Dragon driver figure and used some MagicSculp to make a scarf to mask the line between the body and the head, this wah it matched the cold weather commander as well…

Glad you liked it…John.

There is no old model when it is well done. Great build!

Excellent all round, I must say that that is some of best figure painting I’ve seen on here in a while.

Well done.

Terry.
