Getting ready for a super detail of the Tamiya early Sherman and was wondering where can I get my hands on any detailed drawings or images of this tank. I’m considering super detailing the interior and adding motor.
All help is appreciated.

The first thing I would try is “Walk Around, M4 Sherman” by Squadron/Signal publications.
It’s pretty easy to find eaither in the LHS or just about any on-line retailer.
try this
http://www.onwar.com/tanks/
that site just has the stats and exterior drawing.
it might ( I emphasise might) help a bit)
osprey also have an indepth sherman book…I noticed it in my lhs a few days ago.

Howdy, try this .

The Sherman “Bible” is the book by R.P. Hunnicutt and part of the “Holy Trinity” for Sherman collectors. The other two being the DML M4A1 early (recently reissued) and the Modeler’s Guide to the M4 Sherman by Ampersand Publishing (soon to be re-released in an updated version). Let’s hope the Hunnicutt book is reprinted, right now they go for anywhere between $150 and $300+.
Thanks!
Ordered “Walk Around, M4 Sherman” by Squadron/Signal publications" should have in a few days.

Hmmm. Ampersand is going to reissue the Sherman guide? I contacted them at new year and they said they had no plans to do that. I’m glad they changed their mind. Thanks for the info.
Apparently the announcement was made at AMPS this year. IIRC, the updated Sherman guided is supposed to be released late this year, probably in winter. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new guide.
