Well here is my latest project, all it needs is weathering and stowage kit. then it will ride the Dragon Wagon.
Mourningstar, that’s a great build, glad you put that one up…I am going to do one for the Cold War Groupbuild but cannot seem to find the kit… Tamiya, right? My LHS said they will try and find one for me.
yep that is the Tamiya kit, went together great. I picked up a resin kit to go with it that cost as much if not more than the model lol
Model looks like it is coming along nicley. Should look good after weathering.
If you are talking about Tamiya’s M25 Dragon Wagon, this is incorrect. First, the Tamiya Dragon Wagon is a WWII vehicle. Later version used in the Korean War were with upgraded M15A1 trailer and Vietnam era used M123A1C 10-ton tractor with M15A1 or M15A2 trailer. Also, the M15 trailer in the Tamiya kit is too narrow for the M48 and could not carry that much weight.
For a Vietnam era tank transporter, you need a M123A1C truck with the M15A1 (or A2) trailer. Unfortunately there are no plastic kits of these. You either have to scratch/convert them, or get the rediculously priced priced resin kits of them, each going for about $150. Here is one I scratched from the Tamiya Dragon wagon and lots of other stuff.
Good luck, but I wouldn’t load it on the Dragon Wagon.
Mourningstar, very nice build. It will look real nice weathered. Remember Vietnam’s dirt was really really red. I just did that kit last week and really enjoyed it. It is actually a very nice build. The stowage wasn’t extra detailed, but the rest was nice. I still need to get my shine off the turret. It just wants to reflect light, doesn’t it?? Geoff, try online. I see that kit at every LHS I visit. Mine has it now at 10% off. It you can’t get it, let me know, I can pick you one up and send it to you.
Heavy Arty, that is a fantastic job!
Very nice build. Looks great.
Regards, Rick
Nice, clean build. Only comment, you should apply some dull coat over the tan shrouds, as I do not believe that they should be gloss.
Thanks for the pics.
Nicely assembled model! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
well the Gloss that is on there is just a coat fof Future, I still ned to put my dull coat on it. I forgot the mention that sorry all.
[:D] that is a great job,well done[:D] and i like the face[:D]
Great job so far. Keep us updated once you have weathered it.
