Heres some progress on my Patton, just making it out of box with some weathering and minor damage around.
added mud texture on the lower hull using wood filler.

Mud texture…nice idea, but is the hull painted?? It may be better to texture after painting.

I think the wheels need some mud texture too[;)]
got some green paint sprayed on

now its painted lol, im just used to adding that kind of stuff and painting it later.
I noticed that the tires are not painted and it seems that the whole tank is not yet painted before the weathering. How do plan to procedd with the painting?
HOLY FLAT PAINT! JT is over here in armor?
Check out this guy’s cars in “Auto’s”, guys–there’s no more talented finisher of mile-deep high-gloss finishes than this man! [bow]
Cool beans, JT! I have no doubt that, after seeing your “Rat Rod”, that this will be another masterpiece too!
I’ve started to add a bit of mud. i notice Vietnam had lots of redish mud so i mixed up some paint
just a start so far more to come

only the turret part isn’t painted (not even built yet lol) no big deal to paint it separate
as for wheels once im done with the mud ill go in and paint em’ black. then give them a light dusting of mud color so more black rubber color shows through
added the tracks. gave them a airbrushing of mud color. just need to add some pastel chalks and some washes around the whole area next.

wow, that looks pretty sharp!
Yep, I have to agree that’s some awesome looking effects. I never thought of using wood glue. The dirt/ dust effect looks very realistic. Awesome job JT.
Rob
got the turret painted green.

Looking good! Not sure if you already knew this or not, but the wheels on the rear of the turret should have rubber rims instead of staying in the green you have them now. [;)]
Looking good…[:)]
Likin’ it here too.[Y]
lol yup I know. and the cables and stuff all need detail paintin’ still.
Looking good…like Bill said get a little rubber on the spares
Rounds Complete!!
a bit more stuff added

Very cool James. It;s looking up to your usual standards!
Love the playboy bunny…I see you took care of the spare road wheels. Now…on the M2, the ammo belt sticks out into space…needs an ammo can and holder…besides the ammo would not stick out like that!!
Otherwise looking good!!
