M48A3 "JUNGLE BUSTER"

This is an older build, but I thought you guys might want to look at it. This is the Tamiya kit. I lowered the suspension to correct height and added the older style search light.

Thanks for looking in.

I really like the look of that. The red in the groundwork and in the wheels looks really nice. And the foam cooler is a nice touch.

Hello!

It’s looking great! The crew looks just right, the old searchlight is very nice too. If I was to build the M48 again, I would do SOMETHING to the fenders - it’s almost impossible to find intact fenders on a Vietnam Patton. And certainly not on a jungle buster!

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Outstanding job! Everything about it screams “Vietnam” as I remember it. Even the dirt looks about right.

It came out looking very nice. Good job on it. You just gotta like the mean stance of the M48. It just looks Bad.

Thanks!

I guess it would depend on how long it’s been “busting”

Thanks!

Thanks Bill!

Thanks Gino!

The dirt looks very right. Beautiful build. I saw the title and was thinking rome plow.

Thanks Glenn!

Very cool! I love the presentation.

Looks awesome! I’ve read about how the Vietnam red dirt and mud would get everywhere but never been sure on how to do it to look ‘right’- love how yours came out.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Very nice work on this. What tracks set did you install? They don’t look like the box stock Tamiya pair.

AFV Club workable M48 track.

Thanks!

Ah, thanks. I just recently finished this kit. It was heavily modified into a fictitious subject but I noticed the tracks on yours.

Superb craftsmanship, no question about it. One question, though: what is the sort of tubular device on the back end, a PTO of some kind? Thanks for sharing your exceptional build.

It is for the deep wading exhaust pipe.

Thanks!
