I want to build a M46, Korean war, 6th Tk Bn. Is there any one who makes a conversion for Tamiyas M26? After compleating Verlindens T-62 update kit I feel I’m game to try almost anything. You folks at this forum have NEVER let me down. Your last piece of advice helped me win best armor and best military kit. Thanks for your past advice and to any help you can offer.[bow]
DML makes a fairly nice M46 Patton tank model. It would be easier and cheaper.
I have the Dragon kit and looking in the box, it looks really nice. It does lack the dust cover for the gun mantlet, however.
I agree with MAJ Rob on this one. I owuld start with DML kit as opposed to converting Tamiya M26.
As for the dust cover. It can be easily made out of some tissue soaked with PVA glue and water. Use some thin wire and foil to make the fasteners on the outer edge. It is really pretty easy and looks great.
Thanks Heavyarty. That would have been a question I had when I build it
