I would rather remember The Golden Dragon.
Ahh yes, the other places to hang out in Lawton. [:D]
It has been a couple weeks since I last posted. I hate it when real life gets in the way of modeling. [:D]
Here is the latest update.
I have put down the paint and decals, added smaller details, and done the detail painting. Up next is weathering.
The DS T80 tracks went on great. I had to add 7 links from an extra set of DS tracks to make them fit since the M40 is on a lengthened M4 Sherman hull.
The markings were pieced together from the M40 decal sheet and a Bison Korean War US Tanks sheet. It is representative of a Korean War M43, but not real markings that I know of.
Here it is so far.

Thanks for looking and as always, all comments are welcomed.
Now I want to get this kit… thank you for feeding my addiction. Looking great as usual… can’t wait to see it weatherized next.
Very nice…the rear deck cable can be a PITA but you did a great job. DS tracks are the way to go…AFV T-80 can lead to a nightmare [8o|].
The fighting compartment scratch work looks great. Now that means AFV will finally come out with the M$# as a kit!!
Looking forward to dirt

Great job Gino! Really love all the detail.
Andy- Glad I can be an influence to keep up your addiction. It is a great kit.
Mike- Thanks for the comments. I’m having fun with it. Now I need AFV Club to come out with their version so I can b!tch about it some. [:#]
Gene- Thanks for checking in. Hopefully I can get some dirt on it soon.
It is coming along really nice…looking forward to seeing it all wraped up!
Can definitely relate to the RL interference with bench time Gino…I’ve been struggling to get back to the bench myself lately. Must be a Spring thing! Decals are looking good as are the details and tracks. Look forward to seeing it weathered up. [B]
Now that’s a righteous build in my book[Y][][][*]
Looking forward to the final killer shots Gino

Very superb work there. The scratch work and detailing in the fighting compartment just looks great [Y]
Thanks guys. Yup, it is spring and the hassle of moving soon that keeps cutting into my bench time. We have the new house just about settled, so that should help out some. I hope to have a final, weathered and completed update later next week.
Top notch .[Y]
Thanks Shellback.
Gino, great job as usual! Almost a shame to dirty her up though. I’ve got to get me one of these.
Thanks Gamera.
“Almost a shame to dirty her up…”
Too late for that. It is just about done and dirty. I should have some completed pics up this evening.
The M43 is done. I weathered it over the last few days. I used a couple different acrylic colors for the pin wash and an overall dusty dirt wash. I then dry-brushed with a bit of a sandy, mud color and a darker brown mud on the floors in the fighting compartment and the hull exterior. I hit it with some steel on the heavy wear areas and some OD Green to blend the hull. The tracks were treated the same way with acrylic washes in sandy mud colors and then heavily dry-brushed with steel.
Here she is.

Ahhh…very nice…I can almost smell it…that dirty steel and muzzle blast smell…
Now there is an idea for a scale model product…scale odors…OK, I won’t go there
Very nice…last build in GA??..time to plan the packing…almost time to march order.

Great build!!! [Y] One day I have to build this… Oh, don’t let Mike snatch this since he will be much closer soon.
Good luck with the move!
