I tend to be anal as most scale modelers, but also as a retired artillery office I believe towed artillery is a system with the weapon and its tow vehicle. I have an M115, 8" towed howitzer sitting on the shelf and want to mate it with a M4 tractor. I have an old Nitto M4 but the detial is not great. Hobby Boss announced the were coming out with new M4 tractor kits a while back but I have still heard nothing.
Has anyone heard when or if they are coming?

One source for good information might be Winston of Wings N Treads (www.wingsntreads.com)
He’s a reliable N American source for Hobby Boss stuff. I got my hands on their new 1/35 Dutch Army Leopard II and it looks great. It portends well for what their M4 HSTs might be. The Leopard had nice crisp molding and deatiails and a goodly sized PE sheet too.
I’m with you redleg – bring on the prime movers (although I’ve promised myself that I’ll finish the Azimut Mack NO truck this year… I’m about 40% complete)
You’re definitely not the only one waiting very eagerly for that kit. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard anything, nor have I seen anything posted as to when the kit will be out.

Hey,You Mentioned waiting for H.B.'s upcoming M-4,But Is there something about the Masters production kit you don’t like,or their prducts in general.I’m gonna be starting a M-4 & 8" Acadamy/Monte Cassino Dio soon.From what I can tell in the box,I’m “Down and happy” with it.

Both Gino and I have spent plenty of time around the “powder pit”. My powder is a bit older lot than Gino (I’ve been retired since 94) but two artillery officers no matter what generation and what weapon systems, can always relate.
As far as the model master M-4, I’m well aware of it. If the HB M-4 came out I would give it a try. As far as the MM M-4, I’m sure its great and if HB falls on their face, I’ll pick up the MM M-4 or if I am ready for that project and HB is not out yet. I guess it is part of my military background. “if yo fail to plan, you plan to fail”. The M115/M4 project for me is most likely late this year. Just planning ahead.
