I chose to kit bash this one, because I had built Italeri’s offering years ago and wanted to make a better one. Academy made that easy for me with their M36. I used their turret and interior with a Italeri M4A3 hull.
I added 2 different PE set from eduard, I scratch built wiring, ammo tubes, handles, headlights were drilled out and lens made out of casting resin, the tracks came from Tamiya’s old M4A3, and the antenna is from a paint brush. The markings are from Archer, I had to piece some of them together to get the right unit. It’s painted in MM with an ink wash, then dusted with pastel chalk.

Thats nice work. Never building an open top turreted tank myself, I like the green interior. Great weathering also. Thats an area I’m trying to improve on. Yours is weathered but not overdone [IMHO]. Thanks for shareing.[tup]

RAF120,
A Sherman chassis with rust, dust, grime and slime. Ain’t it purty. An excellent job! I’d have to go [tup][tup][tup][tup].

hey Raf! still looking good over here! great job!
Excellent job Trevor! The weathering is beautifully done, not to much, just right. You’ve certainly taken the mix of kits and come out with a superb build. Thanks for sharing your project with us. Semper Fi, Mike
Thanks for the great comment guys.
Matthew9 the best way to improve is to just do it.
I enjoy doing open tops because it does provide a bit of a challenge.
