M2A2 ODS Bradley in-progress

I wish there was an emote that makes clapping sounds but this is the best I can do[:D][bow]

where do you get the rust-oleum stuff? I can never find it!

Thanks. I found the Rust-Oleum texture paints at Home Depot and Lowes.

Gino,

Very nice indeed. I’ve been putting off picking one up for fear of adding to the stash yet another unbuilt kit, but I think I will now get one.

Also, what actually do you do in the military? I realize that you are an artillery officer, but how have you developed such an extensive background in armor? Many thanks for your contributions here.

Jim

Thanks, definitely a kit to get. I have been in heavy divisions and in and around armored vehicles my whole career (12 years so far). For a large portion of that time, I have been a Fire Support Officer (FSO) for Armor and Mech Infantry Bns. I have been in and around Abrams and Bradleys most of my career. I also just love building and superdetailing armored vehicles.

Beautiful Bradley Gino. About the anti-slip coating, do you have a diagram showing placement such as the one for the M1A2? Also, how did you mask around the bolts on the hull? Thanks.

Hello

Excelent job… using your photo for reference…

Greetings

TDC

looks great i still use that anti-slip technique when ever i can

one thing though M2A2 ODS should have bench type seating in the rear as that was a major part of the ODS program to bring in off the self improvements i know not all vehicles are equal so some could still have the old style seating but i have only seen them in the M2A2 non ODS the brads i had where ODS-E and they had bench seats

is it hot in the desert yet lucky me i went earlier this year for 7 weeks up with the sidewinders

k

Thanks, glad you like it. Sorry, no diagram on the non-slip. I just went from what I saw on actual Brads. For the bolt heads, I covered each one with a small piece of masking tape, every bolt. It was a pain, but it came out looking good and was worth it.

Good luck with yours.

As you said, not all updates were applied to all vehicles. We had vehicles in 3ID with all levels of upgrade, including individual seats with external upgardes as well.

Luckily, I moved from NTC in June to Maxwell AFB, AL. Still hot here though, and lots more humidity.
