is the kit (1/35 Tamiya) pretty good as a basic kit, i just got it in the mail, and have seen the aftermarket kits. which one is the best, and, is it really even needed?
Here is an article on Vodnoc’s site that gives all the data needed to super detail the Tamiya M2A2 ODS. http://vodnik2.republika.pl/pages/m2a2/m2a2-p1.htm
Most of the corrections can be easily done witha little minor scratch-building. The hull rear is a major job, and in my opinion, is not necessary. As to AM stuff, the side racks seen on 3ID Brads are nice, they come in PE from Verlinden, or could be easily scratched from sheet plastic as well.
Check out my Showcase II, on page 2, below to see my superdetailed M7 B-FIST, Bradley based Fires Integration Support Team vehicle. I plan on giving the same treatment to an M2A2 ODS as well.
Good luck.
