M2A1 Halftrack-The offical final pics to wrap the WIP

<~~ will be lurking…

Marc,

Commited someday? I think the time is past due. Should you be handleing sharp objects???

I’ll watch but promise you will have close supervision.

Thanks for all the chatter and encouragement guys.

Mike… too funny. I may do an OD subject that I actually paint one day[whstl]

Thanks John. 25 LOL I can’t remember back that far

The floor/interior problem is just that… a problem. Getting the kits parts out to see how to meld the brass with the kit using as much brass as possible.

In the mean time…

How to make a 1/35 scale 50 cal ammo belt that actually clips together. 1st, gather all the brass parts. 2nd, as you think that this is just crazy… hit yourself on the head with a bid rock a few times. Just before you pass out it will seem so easy that you press (read that “fold”) on.

The penny is for scale but the bullets a just under 3/16". Folding the clips around a drill bit is a lesson in tedium. There was only 20 to make but when you get to about #15 you start to get a rhythm going. Oh boy… rhythm for the last 5[:S]

BUT… damn if it don;t look cool.[:P]

The .30 cals just get new barrels. The PE set does not inculed the barss barrels but tthe LHS had a set of 1/32 aircart barrels and they look fine.

Damn if that don’t look cool ,Marc ! Bravo ! [:P]

tread[H]

Stunning work, that .50 call ammo belt looks the buisness. I know what its like putting together a real 7.62 ammo belt, so you deffinatly have my respect for this.

Marc , gosh and geez !!! Fantastic modeling !!! Ok , i’m sure i have to save some explanatives for later on in this build .[Y]

That L.H. you go to must be well stocked . Cant find anything like that around these parts .From the sounds of it you guys back east have some nive L.H.'s.

By the way Marc . your not kidding me , where did you find that 3 ft. dia. penny ?[:P]…[;)]

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the comments. The bump on my head is finally going down[:D]

Shell my local guy is a pretty good shop. Lot’s of stuff and he can get it pretty fast if he doens’t have it.

And oh yeah… you mens this penny?

Marc LOL ! Just as i suspected , you do have a big penny ! [Y]

Hmmm… end of September… end of September… you know, Marc, that rings a bell for some reason but I just can’t place it…[:P]

(So, uhh, is this your way of saying, “Don’t even think about it bitches, that trophy is mine, all MINE!!! Myuh hahahahahahahahaha!!!”)

Rolling right along Marc, nice work on the MGs and ammo! [Y]

Haven’t logged in in I don’t know how long…Boyd told me that I HAD to take a look at this thing.

You sir, are officially insane. [+o(]

Have you done any sort of parts count to determine what percentage of this will be metal vs plastic? I can’t imagine that you’ll have many kit parts left over based on the size of that Lion Roar box!

Thank you all for the comments.

Boyd… Hmmm? End of September? Nope… means nothing.[whstl]. Someone will build an all scratch built and a major conversion too.and that will get more sway but yup, end 'o Sep. is the goal[;)]

FUUUUUUPES! Dude I was just thinking pf you the other day. I know summer is your busy time so I figured you were wrapped up in that. But great to see ya here. Thanks for stopping in. And I guess I can’t say anything bad about you or Boyd will rat me out[:O]

OMG…I have a headache just looking at the .50 cal rounds…always love the brass barrels…keep on peddling

Rounds Complete!!

Nice!

Looking forward to seeing this in Danbury.

Nice job on the .50 cal rounds where did you get them I’ve been looking for them for over 2 months for a diorama. Keep up yhe great work looking forward to seeing more.

Mike… you wanna talk headaches[whstl]

Thanks Ken… ii hope you get to see it Dnabury too[;)]

Colin, they came in the massive set from Lion Roar. No clue if they are offered separately. the set also came with 20 spent casings that I am not going to use. I have a few extra clips to and they are yours if you want them. PM you your address and I will be happy to send 'em your way.

Links, Wing_nut. REAL machinegunners call those links… [:P]

Hey, by the way, I’m taking the family on a trip up to Maine this week and we’ll be stopping in to see Fupes. Ya need me to rough him up for ya? I don’t know if I can take him in a fair fight, but I’ve got my wife with me, so… [:D]

Boyd, If you are ahead and giving him a good thrashing you can throw in a…“.And this is from wing_nut…“THUMP”.” If he’s beating you… leave me out of it. [whstl]

Why did it take me until now to notice this!? This is one of the coolest armor project ideas I’veseen in awhile.
