I’m putting together a “History You Can Model” about the M26 Pershing in the Korean War. There’s plenty of history, but for the modeling part so far I’ve identified 3 readily available plastic kits:
I just saw this Lawrence but I can’t think of any others beside what you and Capt Caveman have listed there. Shermanfreak might know of something else, but since it’s not a Sherman…?? [;)]
GHQ Miniatures has some in 1/285 scale. (I don’t know if anyone “models” with these guys or if they are just used for gaming and collecting.) and Millicast is showing a 1/76 Pershing, a Super Pershing and a 105 Howitzer on a Pershing hull in resin for about $25-$28 each.
The Accurate Armor items look nice, but they’re conversion kits. I saw the Millicast items, but I decided to leave them out of the listing since they appear to be resin and metal. We usually list only plastic kits in History You Can Model. I’ll follow up on the Aurora; Paul’s got the “Guide to Obsolete Kits & Values” somewhere in his office.
Aurora made an M46 Patton tank in 1/48 scale and Lindberg did a 1/32 scale motorized M46 Patton as well as a smaller 1/64(?) scale one that was recently reissued as the “Battlefield Four” with a Stalin, Tiger, and Centurion.
