well for my 1000th post I thought it would be nice to do a dio for it. It is real sand, and the shrubs are toothbrush bristles. I know I still have a lot to learn. but I hope to make more dios in the future. The guys are yet to be added. The model is hasegawa’s 1/72 crusader, and it still needs to be weathered. I added scratchbuilt antennas and a smoke launcher on the left side of the turret. sorry about the pics, couldn’t find macro on my sisters camera.
Congrats Chris.

AbramRules,
Congrats on the 1000th. Yeah, those pictures aren’t great. What I think I see, looks pretty good.
Nice job ( gotta get a little closer )
what you should see is a cruseder going through a desert with a few shrubs.
Coming a long nicely with your dio Chris … get a little closer with the camera next time though [;)]. These old eyes need a set of binoculars to help see that far.
Just a little suggestion would be to use a little pastel on both the Crusader and the ground work to blend the two together a bit.
Nice work my young friend … you’ve come a long way.
Thanks for sharing !!!
Must see closer pics, please!!! Looks good from this distance though!

Looks good from afar. Kongratz on the 1000 posts. Just a question though, have you weathered that beast? Can’t tell from here.
Keep it up.
From as much as I can tell Chris it’s looking good.Post more pics when it’s done.
no weathering yet.
Well done Chris! Always enjoying your posts, and your models too. A drink on your next 1,000 posts and models!

Looks good Chris. I’m starting to like the Braile Scale myself.[:D]Congratulations on the 1000th post.
Congrats on your first thou, Chris!
Good-looking Crusader.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Congrats on the kilo post, Chis. Looks nice in the pics (ditto above). Maybe your sister’s camera doesn’t have a macro setting on it. I remember when that was an oddity!

It’s called “Catch-22”, Chris. I know it well! (and 23, 24, 25, etc., etc.!)
