M1A1HA Dio w/ pictures

Here is a dio i have been working on for 'bout 8 months
It is a M1A1HA Abrams from Trumpeter i added the TWMP to it from another kit i had. I will add another M1A1HA aswell but it still has to be built!!
The sand is real that i glued to the base and then i will add another thin layer over it.
The brushes are real moss that i stripped off an old tree trunk they are supposed to replicate small dessert plants/ brushes.
Anyway i thought i would put the pics up so i could get some constructive critisim!!

Anyway way what do ya’ll think??
Thanks
Robert.

Looks great, wooty. Very nice build[tup]
My only suggestion would be to dirty up the track some more with the sand, and to sink the tracks down into the sand base just a tad. A 70-ton vehicle tends to grind up the terrain a little bit[:)] Other than that, looks outstanding to me!

Hey Snake
Thanks for the tips there!!!
Didn’t think about the tank being sunk down a little and also the tracks being dirty, but i read somewhere else on FSM that the sand tends to make them shiny???
But hey i’m not knocking your suggestions one bit. I will try it and see how it turns out
Thank You Kindely
Robert

wooty, loks great! nice job.

Hey Robert, you’re in Australia! Why not an ‘Ausrams’? O well, I’ll see what I can do in that area. Nice build, however.
Cheers,
John

Looks like a good build, can we get a few close ups of the tank? I like the look of your terrain, too. Reminds me of 29 Palms… Keep us updated when you add the second tank.

Looks good. Nice job on the groundwork. Keep us posted on the second Abrams

Nice build, I like the ground work. Tank looks great to.

Ryan

Hey Thanks Guys
Here are a few pics of the tank up close. I did have them here on FSM a while ago in a post about the progress of it , but what the heck another lot wont hurt.

This is a photo just taken after it was painted.

Same time but different angle.

This photo was taken in natural sunlight with the Tamiya Tank accessories kit put on it and a few added extras here and there.

Same time as above
There Ya’s go.
Thanks Robert
