I cannot find the line drawings Gino ( or someone similar, LOL) posted regarding the anti slip surfaces on an Abrams. Can Gino or someone provide that link?
Thanks

No problem. Here is the drawing…
and how it turns out.

Good luck with it.
Thank You Sir!

What do you intend to use for your non-slip surfacing?
Yeah , thanks for bringing it up G and thanks Heavy Arty for posting the pictures .[Y]
I couldn’t find Rustoleum Textured “Terra Cotta” so I used Textured Multi Color.

Here’s the results.

Tamiya tape, cut to fit, worked great. This paint comes blasting out of the can. I held about 15 inches over. and used short bursts. The texture built up well, and the paint dried fast, probably because I put the parts outside. [whstl] We had like 9% humidity all week.

Good job. It looks like it came out really well.
looks like it worked out well . Did it turn out to be at about scale thickmess ?
Yes it did. The paint has a weird translucent carrier. Think glue for the texture “beads”, which of themselves provide the color. Once it dried it looks great.

So noted and filed in my data base …
Thanks for posting this info! Will also file it away for future builds. Great technique!
Sometimes the Rustoleum is a bit hard to find, at least here in north Texas.
If you’ve got a Lowe’s Home Improvement store nearby look in their spray paint section for Valspar Terra-Cotta. That’s what I used on my Stryker MGS. I just got it finished after a long hiatus! Well, almost finished…gotta detail the headlights!

Took some digging to find this thread, but thanks to you all once again. The line drawings are very helpful Gino, thanks. I’ve been trying to do it from memory and being as that was nearly 20 years ago, it was nuts of me to try. Thanks again guys.
