Eduard (www.eduard.cz) should carry PE for this kit. Verlinden Warmachines M113 part two book covers this vehicle as well. My motor pool has a few scans of the technical manual for the Vulcan. You can access my motor pool gallery via the link in my signature below.

I got about 6 pics of a display vehicle - 4 3/4 views from diffrent aspects and 2 closer shots of the gun turret. They show some detail but not a great lot. I’m happy to email them if you let me know your e-mail address.

Sorry to revive this old thread.

However, Major Rob, do you know where I can find pictures for this vulcan spaag when it was used in ODS back in 91? By the way is it still in service for the army even though it doesn’t have night time fighting capability?

Not sure if there are any ODS photos around. The Vulcan was retired in the mid-90s (93-94) and replaced short-term by the M3A2 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (called the Bradley Stinger FV) until the M6 Linebacker (modified M3A2ODS) was developed and fielded in the late 90s.

The above timelines are for the active Army. I am unsure when the National Guard made their equipment transition.

Rob Any pictures of those two?

Panthernz There was some pictures that I clipped during ODS and after I finish my move and unpack I’ll look for them. What is your e-mail address to send them to you? I might be a couple of weeks I have just started packing and then I have a trip to take right after I unload the truck.

There was a video of one firing up an Iraqi truck towing a gun. BRRRRRRRRRRRR it’s gone!

All right, guess i will have to follow whatever the academy instruction says then. was hoping to make some mods on it. Thanks Major Rob.

I did find this picture from GOOGLEing:

apparently it was taken at Fort Irwin in 1988.
