That’s it, I have the Academy Shmira, and I want to detail the seats, so I need pics from the seats, specially from the back side of them… I supose that the IDF M151 and original M151 seats are the same… In the IDF Shmira there is an aditional seat, I think it’s for the radio operator (or the machine gun operator?)… Maybe there is info about this seat, if the American M151 had the same seat as well. I hope you can help me. Most regards.

I can’t access any pics now (damn firewall). If you do a google image search for M151A1 or M151A2 you will come up with lots of pics though. The seats are the same in both versions. Basically, the seat cushion slides over the metal frame and is secured with snaps that attach on the backside of the seat. The Shmira has a third rear seat that is similar to the front seats as well.
A note on the Academy Shmira kit. The IDF did not have any M151A1s. The Shmira was actually on an M151A2. The differences are pretty noticable. The fenders on the A2 have a angled front and large turn signals and rear stop lights, the rear wheel opening is a different shape, the A2 has a one-piece windshield, and a few other minor differences. I took the Academy Shmira parts and added them to a Tamiya M151A2 to make an accurate Shmira.
Good luck.
