I’ve been away from modeling sense being activated, I’m currently in Iraq as motorized Infantry (M1114s) Our unit was armor till this deployment bummer. Anyways, I seen Dragon is coming out with an 1/72 M1114 kit. I looked at the box art and if the kits are like the art work, the kit will need some work to repersent what is being used here. The box art shows an first generation M1114, all of our Hummers have turrets(either factory made or self made). The Hummers come with different level of equipment from the factory. Some have smoke granade launchers, others have the IFF panels. Internally we have “Blue Force Tracker” and one truck has "Warlock "(jamming device)We mount .50 cals, M240Bs and MK19s on our Hummers. All of ours have a winch in the rear but is rarely used. All of our self recovery is done with tow straps or chains on the front and rear of the truck. If anyone is plain a build of the M1114 and would like more info please ask. There are field mods we do to the Hummers that I could explain. I do have pictures of our Hummers, but I can’t for the life of me remember my web page I used on here…lol But I’m more than willing to e-mail them…Till the next time
