I have not posted in a while, so here is some progress pics of the good old duckbill, my version of the never ending story. Still a lot of work to do, but she’s getting close. I need to replace some broken parts from a 4 year olds (bless her heart) attempt at make it role. The grills are done, just need to place them as are the hatches. The hull is not attached yet, so there is still a gap there. I need to tone down the tarp some, and the entire kit will get some dust added. Any way here she is… And if you don’t have anything nice to say [}:)]…just kidding, give it to me strait [B)]
Looks good and I bet you are glad to be getting towards the end of it, by the sounds!
You have get a nice subtle weathered olive drab there, it looks very realistic. The only thing I would suggest would be to add a bit of a grimy wash to the interior of the engine bay. Looks a little too clean compared to the rest of the vehicle. Not sure if the grills will cover that up anyway.

I really like the camo around the barrel that’s acool idea. The only other thing that jumped out at me was the tarp it looks too tight across the middle for it not to have any thing tying it down. I think it would have a bit of a sag were there is no support.
I think it looks great. Appears to be waiting for the next round of action. Nice and subtle. I can’t add anything to what Matt and Trevor have already pointed out. Beautiful work.

Thanks dwight, tigerman. I also have an M36 waiting in the wings, but I think the “Honey” is next [8)] as the Marder III was placed way,way,way back on the shelf.
Are you doing the Academy Honey? If so, be careful of the interior sections, they are a very tight fit in the hull. Other than that, it’s a very nice kit with a lot of options/detail to choose from.
Dude, I can relate to the offspring damage. I was holding my 8 month old at my work desk while my wife was cooking and he skillfully with much gusto faked me out and grabbed the sprue to my AFV club 1/35 SdKfz 251 Ausf D breaking several parts.
I wanted to scream. Evidently 251’s are a key part of a babys diet and they find them quite tasty. It took me a couple of minutes to pry it away from his vise grip. Gotta love the kids.

I had problems with the turret basket and also the interior framework itself…it builds up as an open topped square that is basically then inserted into the blank hull…I had to shave/sand quite a bit because of it otherwise the hull top itself will bow outward.
