M-60 Patton interior colour question

I’m new to this forum (I usually model aircraft, so I occasionally visit that FSM forum), so I apologise if this topic has been raised before.

I’m wondering about the interior colour for the hatches on the turret of a M-60-A3? I am finishing the Revell 1:72 scale kit (lovely little kit) and plan to add a crew figure in an opened hatch.

I’m assuming it would be off-white or very pale greenish grey, as these seem to be the interior colours of US armour that I’ve seen in photos. But as I don’t normally model armour, I don’t really know for sure.

Interior colors aren’t carried over onto the inside of the hatches… They’re OD in order to keep from “breaking camo” when they’re open…

Thanks. I had an inkling that might be the case.

Saves mixing & mucking about with another paint colour too, so it’s all good!!!
