I tracked down an old Tamiya Sheridan kit which was of the pre-production model. Is there an update kit out there to “Viet Nam” the kit. I’ve scratch built some stuff like gun tube and armor plating around coupola, but would really rather have accurately made update stuff if it’s available. Yes I know about the $120.00 Jaguar kit, I’m talking about reasonably priced! Haven’t started the kit yet so if anybody has any thing I could use let me know.
I believe AEF Designs made some update bits for the Sheridan, but their quality is
lacking, and their service poor. That is from my own experience with them.

I got somewhat lucky. Stumbled across the old Eduard brass kit for the Sheridan. It has the gun shields, now I’m just looking for a small style searchlight. I’ve only seen it on the Academy M-48K kit. As I already have an m-48 didn’t feel like buying another for a searchlight. Any body know about where I can get an aftermarket mini-searchlight?
The mini searchlight comes in two different AM sets. One is the OOP Lo Models M48/60 conversion set and the other is the OOP Verlinden M49/60 update set.
BTW, the Sheridans had TTS installed during Desert Shield so for a very late Gulf War Sheridan, a searchlight would be unnecessary.
