Lunchtime office Desk Build - Airfix Sea King HAR.5

I built this at my office desk over 2 months worth of lunch hours from the Airifix Westland Sea King HAR5 gift set. I brought a few more paints in but used only a scalpel and the kits packaged 2 brushes, and a bit of varnish. The base is a polystyrene base with a splash of Vallejo water effects on the top. The figure being rescued in the sea is an N scale railway piece, and the pilots and winch crew are resin pieces. The kit did not have any instructions so I have had to guess most of it from the box artwork - the finnished result is not great but it has kept me out of the pub at lunchtime for the last 6 or 7 weeks! My staff are most impressed at what can be achieved from the basics of modelling away from the workshop

And so the staff should be impressed! Very nice build.

Very nice. That looks great.

Very nice considering the limited resources!

I see 771 squadron Sea Kings with their Ace of Clubs logo’s more or less every other day up here on mountain rescue jobs (flying from 771’s Gannet Flight).

Great water affect is that invirotex? we use something like that in model railroading.
