Hey fella, how’s the '109 coming along?

Your wishes are my commands. What with one thing and another, the final finish on this thing seemed to take forever. Also not without a few dramas. I tried like hell to avoid silvering but got a bit on some of the smaller stencils and the dreaded walkway markers. I also got confused with the markings. The model that ive err…modelled should have a yellow band around the nose and a yellow tail. Aah well. Ill put that down to the fact that im a clutz. Heres the photo. Hope you like.
Thx for looking. I have a ‘Target’ GB (Supply and Support) so the planes will have to go on hold for a bit, but i am in the BOB GB so…there will be planes built soon.

looks great. The molt came out excellent. The DF loop looks much better then the kit offering. If I remember correctly out larger PE set comes with a replacement. You can see your attention to detail and added work really payed off.

I am totally envious! That is one of the best Me 109’s I have seen in a while Guy. That cockpit is awesome and the i love the detail on those radiators. I It makes me want to build my E-7 that I have in the stash with all of the photoetch detail I have stashed in the box with the kit. i can only hope it will come out half as nice as yours did. Its always the same with me. When i check my Emails for notification of replys, i get a real buzz seeing that ppl have taken the time to comment about my stuff. The fact you all say nice stuff blows me away. Im still like a little Kid (I am a Kid, Dammit. A 39yr old kid)

Greg, you loved that Sight didnt ya LOL. It was litterally the kit part with the reflector cut off, a piece of PE (Supplied) for the new holder for the reflector, a piece of film (Supplied) for the reflector and the cushion pad reshaped with some brown paint ‘Blobbed’ on to make it thicker. Easy peasy oh and the wire you know about.

Frank, thats looking soooo sweet. I love em at that stage. Like a blank canvas. I drilled those 2 vents out on the right side front. It was easy too. Small drill then opened with a sharp No 7 blade. Keep us informed. Love that late german camo.
