Stumbled upon this six minute video clip on You Tube. It hi-lites WW lls top Luftwaffe Fighter Aces. It also shows "COLOR" still pictures of the aircraft (Me-109s, Fw-190s, Me-262s etc) they flew. For those of you that have an interest in replicating any of these top Luftwaffe Aces`s aircraft I think this would be a a good resource for your research.

A bit of a misleading title. Well there were a few good B&W photos of those aces mounts, a couple nice color studio photos of some of the aces themselves, and all the other color stuff was paintings and profiles. Not good hard reference material that a color photograph is. Rather those are artists interpretations of B&W photos and written material at best. Not one original color film photograph of any of the aces mounts in the video. But Ron Goodwin’s “Luftwaffe March” from the “Battle of Britain” soundtrack is always great to hear.

True, but you can’t beat “Panzerlied”…
Signal is the best source for original WWII color photos from Goebels’ propaganda machine. The bottom three photos are excellent examples of their work. But the top one looks to me like it was computer colorized when compared to them. The sky tones, flesh tones, and canopy sections of the 109 are a giveaway there.
“Pazerlied” is superb for anything showing Panzers. I am also very partial to “Prussian Glory” for German Military March tunes.
I just love “Luftwaffe March” from the BoB movie, got me humming it now.[whstl]
Those pics are great, that dirty “yellow nosed basturd” is interesting, must be in EF (Eastern Front) but it looks like an Emil.? Usually think of later variants.
