An “Olympic” Typhoon landing at RAF Northolt in London, where they are temporarily based for the duration.

Some people complain about being on flightpaths, but that is one I would love to be on!

Correct on Libya - it’s a No.11 Squadron Typhoon FGR4 with 36 Paveway II mission marks.

That’s the sound of freedom!! We used to live on the flightpath of a major airport in Houston, and I would somedays just sit outside watching the (mostly) 737’s flying over. On overcast days when the cloud cover was low, and the humidity was high, the sights were particularly nice.

Now, we live in the pattern of a local private airport, the variety is much greater (some of the Confederate AF’s ‘Zeros’ are stationed here), still lots of fun seeing different planes come in. I agree!

I didn’t think RAF Typhoons were cleared for ground attack.
