Got buzzed by a Ford Trimotor today. The Tin Goose is in town all week giving rides out of the Erie County Regional Airport in Port Clinton. This is about 90 minutes West of Cleveland or 50 minutes East of Toledo Ohio.
I rode in A Trimotor with my son several years ago. Just wondering was it the one from Kalamazoo Michigan?
Back in the 1960’s Island Airlines had multiple Fords at Port Clinton airport that flew folks around (you guessed it) the islands in Lake Erie.I flew up there from Bucyrus , Ohio just to see and hear them. They also had a Boeing 247D at the same time. Don’t know how long that lasted as i moved out of Ohio in 1969. I do rmember kids used to go to school on those Fords. If you could just recapture those days.

I got a ride on the Tri-motor years ago from Port Clinton over to the bass islands to go ice fishing. Was a memorable ride to say the least.
