This great job is the reason I wanted to get the “Wasting Away” group build rolling… I just think what Terry did with the paint and rust is phenomenal! And it just seems like such a cool way to bring realism to a model. I could only dream of coming close, but maybe I will get lucky?
Really nice patina effects on the corroded metal. Well done!
Terry: It looks really great! I imagine it’s hard to get that rusty, corroded, weather-bitten look of an abondonend vehicle? But what kind of vehivle is/was it? Is it some kind of russian/sovjet tractor? What brand?
Fish-head Aric: You mentioned a GB - what kind of GB? Have you posted a thread on the topic on the forum? If it’s includes rust, I would be interested, since it’s about time I would give those kind of techniques a try.
/bultenibo
Sorry Bultenibo, it’s a Polish C7TP Artillery Tractor, Check out the wasted away GB, which will include all the techniques used above, Keep in touch with Aric or myself its starting soon. Probably as I type.

Terry.
bultnibo,
What he (terry) said!
Group Build has been forming for a week or so now, and is officially underway, with a tentative “til the year ends” to wrap up.
terry, am really happy to see you are going to have pointers for techniques! Makes you chief cook bottlewasher! I’m just here to hope and learn and at least try and emulate what the Master has shown… [bow]
