Looking for WWII US truck sources

Trucks were the unsung heroes of WWII. Some people even say that the US 2.5 ton truck was the one vehicle, more than any other, that defeated the Axis in WWII. I’m glad I’m building one to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day.

Problem is that trucks are not that glamorous, compared to tanks or bombers or battleships. There are not a lot of sources for them out there, particularly for the Allies.

I’m specifically looking for sources that show the Mack NO truck towing the 8" howitzer in WWII in Europe, and it would be super-nifty if someone came up with an answer off the top of his head, [:)] , but generally speaking can anyone recommend a good source for US trucks of WWII, with lots of good photographs of the trucks in action? (There, I finally got around to my point!)

Check out Achtung Panzer! military Links! I find a lot of information in these sites good luck

Have to agree, that’s one reason I want to a build gun. I’m still leaning to other items as well. Is Italeris Demag towing a Nebelwerfer the old ESCI kit? If so, I wouldn’t touch it for anything.
