Looking for specific P-38J markings

Looking for picture or decals for
Capt. Richard L. West
P-38J “Full House” I think
35th Fighter Squadron Pacific Theater
5th Air Force
8TH Fighter Group

This is the only image I can find

Man, that’s a tough one. The only picture I could find was at http://www.jackfellows.com/Aviation/aviation-029.html

Thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated. Now I can work on those decals.

Glad to be of help. Seems that one subject is a tough one to research…at least on the internet.

Post us some pictures of your P-38. I, for one, would like to see it. My dad was in the 5th AAF.

Perhaps this book may be of interest even though it doesn’t have the photo’s
you’re looking for. It’s With the Fifth Army Air Force Photo’s From The Pacific theater
by James P. Gallagher ISBN 0-8018-6849-1.He served with the 33rd FCS and 49th
FG.

Cobra,
I ran across this information and a color profile as I was researching a future project . The color profile shows the nose( with art )separate and left side of the aircraft. P-38J-15 42-103921 ,Lt. R E West, Owi, July 1944 .The color
plate commentary covers this aircraft and mentions his last (P-38L) named for his daughter. The book is Osprey Aircraft of The Aces # 14 P-38 Lightning Aces
of the Pacific and CBI. Hope this info will help.
