I would really like to build something Italian but I havent seen a whole lot of stuff out there for them. I would like to give a diorama a shot since how I got a couple of tanks under my belt and a few wingie things.
I was thinking something north afrikan. I know they didn’t have a whole lot of armor but there were a few tankettes and some other obsolete tanks they used.
I am at work so I don’t have anything to reference to give the type of tanks but I was hoping that you all might be able to help me on my quest to build my first diorama.
I was thinking maybe an AT gun with Italian crew and maybe a HQ area in the sand. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate your input.
Tamiya makes some Italian tank kits, dont know how good they are, but Italian nonetheless and also used in Norht Africa.
Senomvente or something?
Frankly, I do not do much Italian stuff, but personally I like this tank. Cannot speak for the kit, though. It does, however, have box art shwoing the desert

Yeah its going to be interesting trying to find figures and an AT gun or 2 to try to put something togather.
If you are looking for Italian Kits try http://www.crielmodel.it/english/mil_veh.htm or http://www.italiankits.it/ineng.html or http://www.sbmodels.net/. Italeri (Zvezda)/Tamiya do the M13/40 and Semovente, Trumpeter are about to release the Ariete C1 MBT.
barrovian,
Thank you for the links. I am going to have to do some currency converstion for the first one but the kits look great. Any comments on the quality?
cries Why does the US dollar have to be so weak?
48.55 euros is 63.32 USD.
I have built the CRIEL VCC1 Camillino and the HISTORICA A/A Sidam (M113 conversions) and both are very good. How is the £/$ exchange rate, I have found http://www.sbmodels.net/. a good source in the UK.
