Hello, I really enjoy this forum and all the wonderful builds members post. I am a simple builder building old kits from the 70s and 80s. I keep my painting simple with Testors spray cans or Testors square enamel bottles brushed on. I also build Freeflight models, RC models and model rockets. So my plate is full but I am able to keep up with my collections as long as I keep everything simple. By last build was a MPC Star Wars Tie Fighter built out of the box, sprayed with Testors Dark Grey spray paint and black brush painted. Also finished 2 Monogram 1974 snap tite P40’s brush painted with Testors square bottles. I am looking for other forums with builders who keep builds simple somtimes using the kits molded plastic as the color of choice. I have searched the internet with no luck. Here is a cool build I found out of the box with minimal tools. Any help in the right direction would be great, I also understand there may not be any resources for this type of building. I am looking for model aircraft builds, thank you. Keep up the great work I enjoy looking at others detailed builds.
Impressive collection, scigs!
That is a great collection! And I see something in your collection that I have not seen in years. It is that gray plastic stand for the original release Star Wars action figures with the cardboard backdrop. I had that when I was a kid - I think we had to special order it out of some magazine. I think my sister has it now, although the backdrop on mine did not survive my childhood.
Nice collection of builds and I like the simpler approach.Check out this gentleman’s blog as his style of building is similar to what you’re looking for:
That is a great blog, simple but nice old fashion builds.
Very nice! How long does it take you to dust all of that?
